- Rafting in the Smokies- Enjoy rafting on the rivers of the Smokies with experienced guides. No experience
necessary, great for families.
- Hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park- Several hiking and nature trails lie close to Gatlinburg.

- Noah Ogle Trail- 3/4 mile round-trip, easy, self-guided. Abandoned mountaineer homestead. Access on
Cherokee Orchard Rd.
- Rainbow Falls Trail- 5 1/2 miles round-trip, moderate. Access on Cherokee Orchard Rd.
- Laurel Falls Trail- 2 1/2 miles round-trip, easy. Access on Little River Rd.
- Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park- Take the aerial tram to the top of the mountain, where an
amusement park featuring bungee jumping, a Velcro wall, ice skating, and arcade, and other attractions awaits,
including skiing in the winter. Open daily all year.

- Dollywood - - Rides, shows, shops and restaurants are but a part of Dolly Parton's own amusement park. Open
daily Memorial Day-Labor Day; closed Thurs in May and Oct; closed Tues and Thurs in Sept; open mid-Nov to
end of Dec on limited schedule for Smoky Mountain Christmas.
- Ogle's Water Park- Ten waterslides, a "Lazy River" tube float ride, a wave pool and kiddie land, along with a
swimwear shop, raft rentals and concessions. Open weekends in May; open daily June-August (closed last week
of August), open Labor Day weekend.
- Pigeon Forge Mining Company- Mine your own precious and semi-precious stones from the North Carolina
Franklin mine fields; find emeralds, rubies, sapphires and other stones. Customers can also have stones cut and
polished, or cut their stones themselves. Open daily all year. Free.
